Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap, software architecture, product integrity, lifecycle, and technology direction of the Government High Security platform.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and verification of embedded software features and Microsoft Windows applications.
- Manage hardware component obsolescence, assess software and system impacts, define mitigations, and coordinate redesign and qualification activities.
- Act as the platform’s primary technical authority, providing engineering leadership, design guidance, and technical decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate and govern external hardware development partners to ensure technical deliverables, schedules, quality, and design outcomes meet requirements.
- Maintain ownership of software quality, configuration management, and release processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Experience with C application development in a Linux environment and Bash scripting.
- Experience developing GUI applications with Linux, Qt, and C++.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows application development using Visual C# and SQL.
- Familiarity with Subversion (SVN) source control and proficiency in UX design.
- Highly organized, structured, customer-oriented, proactive, quality-focused, and effective in verbal and written communication.
