Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap, architecture, lifecycle, product integrity, and long-term technology direction of the Government High Security platform.
- Design, develop, implement, and verify embedded software features and Microsoft Windows-based applications.
- Manage hardware component obsolescence, assess software and system impacts, define mitigations, and coordinate redesign and qualification activities.
- Act as the platform’s primary technical authority, providing engineering leadership, design guidance, and technical decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate external hardware development partners and govern their technical deliverables, schedules, quality, and design outcomes.
- Own software quality, configuration management, and release processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Software Engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Experience developing C applications in a Linux environment and writing Linux Bash shell scripts.
- Experience developing GUI applications using Linux Qt and C++.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows application development using Visual C# and SQL.
- Familiarity with Subversion source control and proficiency in UX design.
- Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance.
- Strong organization, structured problem-solving, customer and solution orientation, teamwork, quality focus, and verbal and written communication skills.
