Responsibilities

  • Invent and prototype new audio and video experiences.
  • Apply classical digital signal processing and machine learning techniques to real-world challenges.
  • Take concepts from research through deployment on consumer devices.
  • Develop high-performance, portable C/C++ software for embedded platforms.
  • Lead system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
  • Drive complex engineering projects and influence technical direction.
  • Mentor engineers and represent Dolby with customers and partners.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in DSP, embedded systems, and real-time software development.
  • Deep expertise in DSP fundamentals, including filtering, transforms, beamforming, noise reduction, and non-linear processing.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models on edge devices.
  • Strong C/C++ development skills and understanding of processor architectures.
  • A proven track record leading complex technical projects and delivering production-ready solutions.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
