Responsibilities
- Design enterprise AI architecture covering inference layers, vector stores, data ingestion, orchestration, and monitoring.
- Architect reusable LLM/RAG systems, agent frameworks, and generative AI services across business domains.
- Define standards for embeddings, vectorization, prompt orchestration, caching, and evaluation pipelines.
- Establish patterns for developing, fine-tuning, and deploying ML and LLM models.
- Evaluate foundation models, fine-tuning, and custom-model approaches.
- Define and enforce AI architecture, security, privacy, compliance, audit, and explainability principles.
- Partner with data engineering, IT security, cloud infrastructure, and product teams on architectural alignment.
- Support roadmap planning, technology selection, and build-versus-buy assessments for AI platforms, data protection, vector databases, model hosting, and MLOps tools.
Requirements
- 10+ years of total professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ML/AI engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, or cloud architecture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field; equivalent experience is considered.
- Strong proficiency in distributed systems, Azure cloud architecture, and Kubernetes containerization.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying ML/LLM systems in production.
- Expertise with PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow, KServe, Kubeflow, Airflow, and vector databases.
- Deep understanding of LLM/RAG patterns, embeddings, prompt engineering, and caching layers.
- Experience with LangChain or OpenAI Agents API is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, MedTech, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
- Experience with encryption, tokenization, PHI/PII protection, or secure ML workflows is preferred.
