Responsibilities
- Plan, estimate, strategize, design, and execute performance tests, including workload and test-case design.
- Use JMeter and other performance testing tools to create complex scripts and act as a subject matter expert.
- Execute benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests.
- Monitor application logs and analyze CPU, memory, network, garbage collection, and database performance metrics.
- Own performance-related issues across multiple products and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Identify memory leaks, connection issues, and application bottlenecks.
- Generate performance graphs, session reports, status reports, and validation documentation.
- Publish performance results, obtain stakeholder signoff, and follow up on defects and issues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and database fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic programming knowledge in one or more of C, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Rust, Lua, or Haskell.
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team.
