Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.
- Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot and develop full-stack capabilities with React.
- Design and implement RESTful services and integrate relational databases.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technology communities.
- Implement secure coding, unit testing, mutation testing, component testing, and frontend testing practices.
- Use logging, metrics, and observability tools to debug and improve software reliability.
- Support successful delivery of location strategy projects in line with agreed plans, quality, governance, and risk-control standards.
- Guide team members or act as a technical advisor while contributing to related teams and business functions.
Requirements
- Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
- Experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience developing backend applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PIT, Stryker, Karate, WireMock, or React Testing Library.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience using observability tools such as Elastic and Kibana for logging, metrics, and debugging.
- Experience with Java 17 or Java 21.
- GitLab or Bitbucket experience is valued.
- Understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and Jenkins pipelines is valued.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is valued.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology is valued.
- Ability to apply technical expertise, make evaluative judgments, communicate complex information, and manage risk and controls.
