Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Java backend services, platform components, middleware systems, REST APIs, distributed services, and cloud-native applications.
- Own features through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Write maintainable, performant, scalable, reliable, and well-tested code.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, API, end-to-end, UI, functional, regression, and release-validation tests.
- Build and enhance API and UI automation using PyTest, Playwright, and related frameworks.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release engineering, architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot distributed services, databases, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure while improving resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, root cause analysis, production support, engineering-practice improvements, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of software development experience.
- Strong Java programming skills and understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system design.
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with automated testing and frameworks such as PyTest, JUnit, RestAssured, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for CI/CD and deployment practices.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL optimization, data modeling, and exposure to Cassandra, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes SaaS, cloud security, enterprise platforms, performance engineering, observability, monitoring, AI-assisted development tools, emerging AI engineering concepts, and SRE principles.
