Responsibilities
- Participate in software requirements, design, code, test case, and team reviews.
- Create and maintain software requirements, functional specifications, design documentation, and source code.
- Identify interfaces between software components and hardware.
- Perform unit and integration testing, including testing software with devices.
- Investigate and implement fixes for software defects and assigned change proposals.
- Participate in requirements change control, defect management, risk analysis, and release management.
- Provide estimates, technical documentation, presentations, and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Associate degree plus typically 4–10 years of related experience, bachelor's degree plus typically 4–8 years, or master's degree plus typically 2–6 years; experience-based waiver is available.
- Degree should be in a technical discipline such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in product-development programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or C#.
- Ability to use configuration, requirements, and defect management tools.
- Ability to operate instrumentation, handle multiple software components, and work effectively with software developers and testers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with a personal computer and software packages.
- English language proficiency.
