Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain core MTS payment platform capabilities.
Deliver customer commitments and payment network regulatory mandates.
Participate in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Support 64-bit migration, ISO 20022, structured address, security, and other platform modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer, documentation, automation, testing, observability, and quality improvements.
Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requires 6–8 years of software development experience.
Requires strong COBOL and enterprise application development experience.
Requires experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms and debugging complex production issues.
Requires understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and database technologies.
Requires experience with secure software development practices and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications include payments industry experience with Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, or ISO 20022.
Preferred qualifications include experience supporting Tier-1 financial institutions, cloud migration and modernization, high-availability and mission-critical systems, and AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
