Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core MTS payment platform capabilities.
- Deliver customer commitments and payment network regulatory mandates.
- Participate in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Support 64-bit migration, ISO 20022, structured address, security, and other platform modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
- Mentor engineers and support knowledge transfer, documentation, automation, testing, observability, and quality improvements.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- Requires 6–8 years of software development experience.
- Requires strong COBOL and enterprise application development experience.
- Requires experience with large-scale transaction processing platforms and debugging complex production issues.
- Requires understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and database technologies.
- Requires experience with secure software development practices and strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include payments industry experience with Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, or ISO 20022.
- Preferred qualifications include experience supporting Tier-1 financial institutions, cloud migration and modernization, high-availability and mission-critical systems, and AI engineering tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
