Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to public sector customers and design secure, compliant cloud architectures for mission-critical workloads.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design workshops, architecture reviews, and architectural roadmap development with customer stakeholders.
- Build hands-on proof-of-concepts using AWS capabilities across generative AI, data and analytics, security and compliance, and application modernization.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with data residency, information security classification, sovereignty, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Specialist Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and system integrator partners on end-to-end delivery and production launches.
- Create reusable assets, reference architectures, blogs, workshops, and customer-event content for the broader Solutions Architecture community.
- Track public sector digital transformation trends, government IT policies, and emerging AWS capabilities and translate them into customer recommendations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Preferred: 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- Preferred: knowledge of cloud architecture.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to collaborate with senior government officials, CIOs, technical stakeholders, developers, architects, and system integrators.
- Experience with AI/ML or generative AI use cases and familiarity with public sector regulatory frameworks are highly valued.
