Base Salary
$58k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute daily regression test suites and update existing scripts for minor software changes.
- Convert structured manual test cases into automated tests and develop simple Python and Robot Framework smoke tests.
- Document clear, reproducible software defects and track work, defects, and test cases in JIRA.
- Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with senior engineers and other technologists to troubleshoot issues.
- Support AI-assisted test automation initiatives under senior mentorship.
- Build and document test procedures, test observations, and conclusions within the Naval Enterprise Network model using Cameo.
- Assist with assembly and basic configuration of laptops, desktop workstations, enterprise printers, and lab environments.
- Functionally test Office 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, and Excel, along with Edge and Chrome.
- Validate application delivery and user experience through Citrix Workspace and Remote Desktop sessions.
- Work with Windows and Linux environments for basic system configuration and log review.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Zero to two years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Basic exposure to UI automation tools and test automation concepts.
- Ability to learn multiple technical domains, collaborate with technologists, and troubleshoot technical issues under guidance.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Atlassian JIRA for work assignments, defect tracking, and test case management.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, software testing or quality assurance internship/co-op experience, exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting languages, and familiarity with AI-driven object-recognition testing tools for remote desktop sessions.
