Base Salary
$145k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end ML pipeline from raw sensor data and dataset curation through training, production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Build computer vision models and algorithms for detection, segmentation, classification, embeddings, and re-identification across road-scene imagery.
- Evaluate classical computer vision techniques and custom-trained state-of-the-art models to select the appropriate approach for each problem.
- Deploy and optimize inference across cloud infrastructure and roadside edge hardware for speed, size, power efficiency, and accuracy.
- Work with real-world hardware and multiple road sensors to develop and test systems on actual roads.
- Contribute across teams in a lean startup environment and take ownership of delivering production systems.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning and/or computer vision.
- End-to-end experience taking models from raw data through production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to write production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience training and debugging machine learning models.
- Strong modern computer vision experience and judgment in choosing classical techniques versus heavy models.
- Ability to work across cloud and edge environments and adapt in a lean, highly autonomous team.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript is used at Blissway, although candidates may come from another primary programming background if they learn quickly.
