Base Salary
$145k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the complete pipeline from problem selection and raw sensor data collection through dataset curation, training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Develop computer vision systems for detection, segmentation, classification, embeddings, and re-identification across vehicles, license plates, wheels, lane markings, and other roadway imagery.
- Build and test machine learning solutions using real devices deployed on roads.
- Choose between classical computer vision techniques and custom-trained state-of-the-art models based on the problem.
- Deploy inference systems across cloud environments and roadside edge hardware.
- Optimize models for speed, size, power efficiency, and accuracy on edge devices.
- Run and maintain the end-to-end machine learning pipeline on the company’s own servers.
- Read current research and apply state-of-the-art approaches where appropriate.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning and/or computer vision.
- End-to-end experience taking models from raw data through production deployment and ongoing monitoring and iteration.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals combined with hands-on machine learning experience.
- Ability to write production-quality code while training and debugging models.
- Experience with modern computer vision and judgment to select classical techniques or advanced models appropriately.
- Ability to work across the full model lifecycle, including training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Strong coding ability and willingness to learn quickly; the team primarily uses Python and TypeScript.
