Responsibilities
- Architect and build core backend infrastructure for SaaS products.
- Lead and contribute to large-scale technical projects focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design, architect, and build product features end-to-end in collaboration with Product Management and distributed engineering teams.
- Drive technical innovation, make architectural decisions, and lead implementation.
- Participate in technical forums, conferences, and open-source communities.
- Mentor and coach team members and promote coding and engineering best practices.
- Apply observability practices to improve product and platform reliability and availability.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems and address root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6–8 years of experience building scalable backends for product or SaaS companies.
- At least 3 years of Golang programming experience focused on microservices and distributed architecture.
- Practical experience designing APIs with frameworks or technologies such as gRPC, REST, GraphQL, or Thrift.
- Ability to design technical solutions from scratch and produce exemplary code and documentation.
- Experience with scalable distributed systems, domain-driven design, load balancing, horizontal and vertical scaling, and stateless architectures.
- Knowledge of data structures and scalable, extensible software architecture.
- Ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and influence technical direction.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and resolving root causes.
