Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform peer-to-peer communications application.
- Implement UI/UX features using React and the Pear runtime.
- Optimize frontend rendering, memory usage, and application performance.
- Use state-management solutions such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
- Write modular, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Test and debug complex frontend applications.
- Collaborate effectively with a remote, globally distributed team.
Requirements
- Proven production-scale experience with React or Preact and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong competency with state management, including Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar tools.
- Ability to write modular, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Strong testing and debugging skills for complex frontend applications.
- Deep interest or experience in peer-to-peer technologies or distributed systems.
- Good communication skills and comfort working remotely with a globally distributed team.
- Preferred: experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop application runtimes.
- Preferred: familiarity with video/audio APIs, WebRTC, media streams, and real-time communication.
- Preferred: experience optimizing UI rendering and memory management.
- Preferred: experience building cross-platform applications for macOS, Windows, or Linux.
- Bonus: contributions to open-source projects, especially in P2P or decentralized technology.
