Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise automation solutions and reusable engineering frameworks for database platform operations.
- Automate database provisioning, patching, cloning, migration, backup, recovery, validation, monitoring, compliance reporting, and vulnerability remediation.
- Administer and troubleshoot Oracle database platforms, including Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Multitenant, Exadata, and related technologies.
- Expand automation across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and future database technologies.
- Integrate automation with enterprise tooling, APIs, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Create dashboards, reports, and operational metrics to improve reliability, consistency, compliance, and engineering productivity.
- Mentor engineering staff, lead strategic automation initiatives, prioritize work, and influence technical standards and automation strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
- Experience in database administration or database engineering, including Oracle DBA experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, SQL and PL/SQL, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and Multitenant architecture.
- Advanced Python development skills and strong Linux shell scripting and Linux administration experience.
- Experience with Ansible or comparable automation frameworks, REST APIs, and Git or equivalent source control systems.
- Experience supporting highly available production environments and troubleshooting across operating system, database, network, and application layers.
- Preferred experience includes Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Fleet Patching and Provisioning, database migration and modernization, CI/CD pipeline development, platform engineering, enterprise reporting, operational dashboards, and multiple database technologies.
- Preferred skills include API development, object-oriented programming, distributed systems, software development, system design, debugging, technical documentation, and application testing.
