Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve the Kafka-based Currents data export system.
- Develop and improve high-scale distributed event-streaming systems handling tens of billions of messages daily.
- Lead software projects from concept through production and advance organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Experience building foundational systems at scale and leading software projects with significant organizational impact.
- Experience with Kafka at scale or comparable technology.
- Professional experience with distributed systems and/or microservices.
- Ability to lead by example, mentor engineers, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, Confluent, or React is a bonus.
