Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for Minecraft Studio’s mobile applications.
- Lead the design and implementation of foundational application systems, development patterns, and customer-facing features while contributing hands-on to the codebase.
- Partner with product, design, and cloud service teams to create coherent end-to-end experiences and durable client-service contracts.
- Provide technical mentorship and raise engineering standards through experimentation, design reviews, code reviews, and quality practices.
- Guide the application through exploration, development, launch, and live operation using telemetry, customer signals, and operational learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with coding languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years of people management experience.
- Experience with iOS development and shipping consumer mobile applications.
Benefits
- The role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800–$274,800 per year, with a San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $188,000–$304,200 per year.
