Responsibilities
- Define, evolve, and own application and platform architecture, including service boundaries, integration patterns, data modeling, and API standards.
- Lead architecture reviews and influence product roadmaps while balancing delivery speed, performance, maintainability, and long-term simplicity.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies, establish design and secure-coding best practices, and create reference implementations.
- Partner across teams on system modernization, performance tuning, data migrations, distributed systems, and complex technical challenges.
- Guide technical strategy for multi-region global cloud deployments, including disaster recovery, availability, observability, and regulated-environment compliance.
- Mentor and coach engineers, lead architecture guilds, and develop learning mechanisms to raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior technical leadership or expert roles within B2B SaaS environments.
- Strong proficiency with Java/J2EE, relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, AWS, GCP, Azure, React, and Vue.js.
- Demonstrated architecture leadership and systems design expertise in scalability, reliability, and data consistency.
- Hands-on experience with global cloud operations at scale and FedRAMP or comparable regulated compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing design documents and mentoring engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience with shared services such as authentication and identity platforms, Kubernetes, service meshes, platform developer tools, large-scale Java/J2EE modernization, and commercial real estate software.
