ML/AI Compiler Engineer

- Design and implement AI/ML compiler technologies using C++ and LLVM for high-performance inference on embedded hardware.
- Develop compiler features for ARM- and RISC-V-based CPU cores and NXP-specific compiler capabilities.
- Implement graph compiler passes, model lowering, graph-level optimizations, and code-generation improvements for AI workloads.
- Analyze generated code with simulators, profilers, and analysis tools to improve compiler performance.
- Collaborate with hardware architects, ML researchers, internal compiler-tool consumers, and a worldwide development team.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with significant exposure to Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in compiler technologies, including LLVM/MLIR, LLVM IR, Clang, compiler passes, optimization pipelines, code generation, or linkers.
- Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MLIR, XLA, TVM, and TensorRT.
- Production-quality programming experience in Python and C++.
- Experience with graph compiler optimization, model lowering, fusion, tiling, and scheduling for AI workloads.
- Embedded systems programming experience and understanding of computer architecture, caches, pipelines, and instruction set architectures.
- Ability to analyze complex compiler codebases and contribute to open-source projects.
