Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement reusable web architectures, state management systems, and client-side algorithms for the DXA portal.
- Lead the migration of legacy Backbone codebases to a performance-optimized React and Alchemy architecture.
- Align frontend architecture, data handling, authentication flows, and security practices with FedRAMP and federal security requirements.
- Architect and help manage Node.js-based services supporting the DXA portal.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
- Own projects across the software development lifecycle in partnership with product managers and designers.
- Improve code quality, performance, accessibility, security hardening, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
Requirements
- Must reside in the United States and hold U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card to meet AWS GovCloud compliance requirements.
- At least 6 years of professional experience developing, shipping, and maintaining complex production web applications.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building applications with React and its ecosystem.
- Professional experience with TypeScript, ES6+, semantic HTML5, and modern styling approaches such as CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, or utility-first CSS.
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing using tools such as Jest or React Testing Library, including mocking and automated test pipelines.
- Experience designing modular frontend architectures, applying software design patterns, authoring technical design documentation, and presenting technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes regulated compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or HIPAA; large-scale migrations to React; Node.js and microservices familiarity; and web security practices including OWASP Top 10, secure session management, CSP, and dependency scanning.
- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
