Responsibilities
- Lead technical and architectural decisions affecting system design, infrastructure strategy, and configuration optimization.
- Analyze business requirements, propose design alternatives, and architect microservices-based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, modern UI technologies, Docker, and AWS.
- Provide high-level design guidance and ensure solutions align with approved architecture.
- Develop enterprise software by analyzing organizational needs, user requirements, system flows, work processes, and problem areas.
- Research, prototype, implement, and promote modern technology best practices and strategic technical capabilities.
- Own problems, issues, and requests through resolution while facilitating appropriate handoffs.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to identify efficiency improvements and technology opportunities.
- Influence technology decisions across business lines, IT management, and engineering teams while maintaining effective relationships.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on professional software engineering experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions, with the posting describing a 5–7 year range.
- Highly proficient hands-on development experience with modern Java and/or Python technologies in agile, distributed teams.
- At least 5 years of experience with front-end and orchestration-layer technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Python frameworks, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and implementing large-scale microservices architectures with container orchestration frameworks.
- At least 3 years of experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and EhCache.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, including IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS integrations.
- Experience with Jenkins, Cucumber, Atlassian Suite, Jira, Bitbucket, and Git.
- Experience with performance tuning and enterprise-grade production application design, development, and support.
- Familiarity with AWS Textract, Comprehend, and Bedrock Data Automation.
- Experience or familiarity with EKS, Docker, OpenShift, Angular or React, generative AI concepts, and specification-driven development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience; advanced studies and degree are preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical, and cross-functional influencing skills.
