  • Design and build scalable production agentic AI services using LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, agent workflows, tool integrations, memory, state management, and human-in-the-loop experiences.
  • Write, review, test, and maintain production-quality C# and Python code while building reusable components and engineering patterns.
  • Own technical delivery from customer and product requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks using rubrics, golden datasets, simulations, judge models, adversarial testing, and offline and online evaluation.
  • Engineer for correctness, reliability, availability, latency, scalability, maintainability, cost efficiency, and safety.
  • Implement privacy protections, prompt-injection defenses, least-privilege tool access, identity and authorization controls, data boundaries, approval gates, auditability, and fail-safe behavior.
  • Integrate agents with Azure services, data sources, APIs, and cloud-native services.
  • Operate production services using automated testing, feature flags, staged rollouts, tracing, logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response.
  • Evaluate models, frameworks, prompts, retrieval strategies, and architectures using experiments and production telemetry.
  • Lead technical execution, design reviews, cross-team coordination, mentoring, code reviews, and applied AI engineering guidance.

Requirements

  • Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
  • Preferred experience with Azure services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB.
  • Preferred experience building or integrating LLM-based systems, RAG systems, agent frameworks, or production agentic and multi-agent workflows.
  • Preferred experience designing AI evaluation systems, implementing agent-security patterns, and building reliable distributed services.
  • Preferred experience with infrastructure as code, container orchestration, feature management, staged production deployment, CI/CD, automated testing, and production observability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution, influence design decisions, mentor engineers without formal people-management authority, and collaborate across product, platform, research, and partner engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, business judgment, and customer or operational outcomes; customer support engineering or diagnostics experience is a plus.

Benefits

  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter, along with applicable customer or government security screenings.
