Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Install, manage, scale, and optimize Kubernetes and RKE clusters using Ansible and Terraform.
- Collaborate with engineers to design, plan, deploy, and support software platforms in Kubernetes.
- Take personal responsibility for processes, systems, and tools that support interplanetary goals.
- Implement improvements using accepted change control methodologies.
- Design and deliver creative solutions while resolving problems proactively.
- Define and document standards and best practices for systems design and implementation.
- Foster collaboration and cross-training within the team.
- Drive automation to reduce administrative overhead.
- Participate in on-call rotation for urgent after-hours work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline and 5+ years of systems engineering experience, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience deploying and supporting Linux servers in physical and virtualized environments.
- Proficiency with the Linux shell and configuring Linux instances.
- Experience supporting and scaling containerized applications in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks like Ansible and Terraform.
