Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX teams
- Own software development from design and testing through deployment
- Create applications that improve machine-shop production cycle time and the process from CAD to finished part
- Investigate user problems and develop efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline, or seven years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
- At least five years of professional software development experience
- Experience with full-stack development
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required ITAR authorizations
- Preferred programming experience with Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, Java, or a similar object-oriented language
- Preferred frontend experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
- Preferred experience with web technologies, build and package management systems, UNIX-like operating systems, infrastructure automation, containers, deployment tools, and databases
- Preferred knowledge of computer architecture, networks, AI solutions, and software used in real-world applications
