Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
- Create applications that improve SpaceX operations
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints
- Own software engineering and product development end to end
- Understand user problems and develop efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and team collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack development experience
- Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language
- At least 1 year of rigorous experience building single-page web applications
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
- Expertise in software system design, testing, build, deployment, monitoring, and application performance optimization
- Experience with build systems and package management tools
- Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
- Experience with in-stream data processing technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Front-end experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies
- Must meet applicable ITAR requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations
