Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale Credit Risk and Capital Markets systems from architecture through production deployment.
- Re-engineer monolithic applications into scalable, resilient microservices and lead cloud migration initiatives.
- Define architectural decisions and engineering standards for distributed, high-availability platforms.
- Build and maintain low-latency systems meeting enterprise security, performance, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Partner with global software engineering, business analysis, DevOps, and support teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and raise engineering delivery standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in application development or systems analysis, delivering large-scale technology initiatives.
- Deep expertise in Core Java, object-oriented design, concurrency, multithreading, JVM memory management, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience modernizing monoliths into microservices and deploying containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and data-processing frameworks such as Apache Flink.
- Experience with distributed caching technologies including Redis, Oracle Coherence, or GridGain.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle, and NoSQL technologies, preferably MongoDB.
- Capital Markets domain knowledge, including Derivatives, Credit Risk, and Risk Management.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, secure coding practices, Linux, Unix, and automation scripting is beneficial.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin is beneficial.
- Recognized application-development subject matter expertise and the ability to influence architectural and strategic decisions at a senior level.
