Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI solution architectures and strategies aligned with client needs, organizational goals, and ethical considerations.
- Integrate AI capabilities into business processes, workflows, and production software applications.
- Develop scaffolding, harnesses, and orchestration layers that enable reliable AI tooling within existing environments.
- Translate client business problems into implementable AI solution designs and assess tooling options against budget, security, and mission requirements.
- Lead technical workshops, communicate solution trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and provide advanced consulting guidance.
- Work independently on complex problems while mentoring and potentially supervising team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML integration, or solution architecture, or a master’s degree and 3+ years of experience in those areas.
- Experience integrating AI into business processes, workflows, or production software applications.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Codex, or Claude Code; GitHub Actions; and development in Node.js, .NET, or SQL.
- Knowledge of AI solution architecture patterns including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and agentic workflows.
- Knowledge of secure software development, version control, and code review practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure AI Foundry, Model Context Protocol, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, AutoGen, Azure cloud services, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, AI governance, and AI output evaluation.
- Preferred qualifications include federal or public-sector consulting, technical workshop leadership, and relevant Microsoft or GitHub certifications.
