Responsibilities
- Research, prototype, and develop solutions that innovate and improve the Qualys technology platform.
- Research and develop cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and other public clouds.
- Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance microservice-based applications.
- Produce high-quality software using scalable architecture and design principles.
- Write unit and integration tests for developed code.
- Document code, designs, and proposed solutions.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent programming and design skills in Java, with a minimum of 4+ years of professional application-development experience using Spring Boot and microservices.
- Understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
- Professional experience with indexing technologies such as Elasticsearch and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and application design.
- Professional experience developing software using a microservice-oriented architecture.
