Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture and optimize code to maintain and improve mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions in mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using modern engineering practices, databases, microservices, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues in a customer-focused, inclusive environment.
Requirements
- 5 to 14 years of experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong development and coding experience with Java, Python, or .NET, including debugging and problem-solving.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, containers, messaging queues, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience with unit testing, JUnit, Terraform, Jira, and software development methodologies.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, or willingness to obtain certification through Kyndryl.
- Preferred: experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
