Responsibilities
- Lead technical design, development, testing, deployments, and support for API-based systems.
- Serve as the technical leader for a product and resolve the most complex technical issues.
- Build and deploy effective, efficient, well-tested cloud-first applications.
- Provide industry and product knowledge to teammates and mentor and coach team members.
- Drive continuous quality improvements for supported products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
- 10+ years of software development experience is required.
- 8+ years of insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge is required.
- Experience with varied database technologies and proficiency across full-stack tools, programming languages, frontend frameworks, databases, and deployments are required.
- Proficiency in containerization and Test-Driven Development is required.
- Advanced complex problem-solving and communication abilities are required.
- A master's degree and/or LOMA certification is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or another cloud provider is preferred.
- Preferred technologies include JavaScript, Java, Groovy, Go, C#, .NET, Python, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Shell.
