Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Write code, prototype, review code, debug complex issues, and solve production problems.
- Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, security, observability, and production reliability.
- Review technical designs and code, mentor engineers, and strengthen technical capability across the team.
- Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses before they become larger problems.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to ship high-quality products.
- Improve engineering tooling, development practices, and automation to increase team velocity.
- Monitor systems after release, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and continuously improve reliability.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and shipping production software systems.
- Deep technical expertise in one or more areas including backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong system design, architecture, coding, debugging, and production engineering skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
- Ability to explain complex technical decisions, influence across teams, connect engineering decisions to business outcomes, and operate effectively with ambiguity.
- Strong English communication skills and comfort working in a distributed, international team.
