Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, test, and implement scalable applications for securities lending and financial-market workflows.
- Build systems for inventory and risk management, client P&L calculation, and internal and external trading flows.
- Develop across all tiers of business-facing systems in collaboration with a global technology team.
- Provide production support and gather requirements from front-office traders, middle-office operations, back-office users, and other end users.
- Apply strong development practices, technical architecture, stream processing, automation, and resilient-system design.
- Participate in full project life-cycle delivery and collaborate across one or two simultaneous projects.
- Build knowledge of trading, client flow, transaction management, and securities-lending markets.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java experience.
- Experience with stream processing and building scalable, high-performance software.
- Experience providing high-quality production support to demanding users.
- Experience gathering requirements through interaction with end users.
- Experience with full project life-cycle and agile-style development.
- Experience with test-driven development and related methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, multitasking, self-starting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of database experience.
- Preferred: full-stack development experience and familiarity with Gradle, Maven, Git, Spring, Kubernetes, and cloud tools.
- Preferred: finance, securities lending, or equities knowledge; experience with project or task management or serving as a technical lead; and experience leading or managing a small project team.
