Base Salary
$115k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, design, implement, and maintain complex multi-tier distributed software applications.
- Develop and test high-throughput backend systems and complex software features using object-oriented programming.
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces with frontend frameworks, integrate APIs, and optimize accessibility and performance.
- Build and maintain automated software processes and pipelines for technical debt remediation across web frameworks and applications.
- Design and maintain scalable distributed systems using Docker and microservices architecture.
- Develop data infrastructure and ETL processes using SQL, AWS, and big data technologies.
- Develop complex SQL stored procedures, triggers, Hive queries, and PL/SQL functions to optimize query performance.
- Participate in on-call incident management, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.
- Collaborate with web platform, application, product management, quality, operations, and other engineering teams.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical recommendations to reduce project risks.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- At least one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience developing, testing, and maintaining software components with AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS).
- Experience with Java backend development and TypeScript and Ruby software solutions.
- Experience developing web applications with JavaScript, jQuery, and AngularJS, including migration from jQuery to Angular.
- Experience designing responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with SQL stored procedures, triggers, Hive queries, and PL/SQL functions including views and packages.
- Experience designing ETL data infrastructure using SQL, AWS, and big data technologies.
- Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems using Docker and microservices architecture.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with Mocha and Jest.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
