
Entry Level Software Engineer - Austin, TX

- Collaborate with a scrum team to design, build, deploy, monitor, and manage highly performing and highly available production systems.
- Write readable, maintainable, and efficient code for software applications.
- Participate in code reviews, internal tool development, best-practice sharing, and process improvements.
- Explore open-source and industry-standard solutions for organizational use.
- Apply software design principles, design patterns, frameworks, and performance and maintainability considerations.
- Evangelize new ideas and collaborate with developers and technical leads through regular mentoring and collaborative programming.
Requirements
- At least 18 months of object-oriented programming experience in C#, Java, C++, or a similar language, gained through employment or schoolwork.
- Demonstrated experience developing applications.
- Understanding of programming and database concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication, confidence, ambition, flexibility, and self-motivation.
- Advanced technical degree or related training is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and ReactJS is a plus but not required.
- Cloud experience is a plus but not required.
