Base Salary

$127k - $149k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable architectures using Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, and functional programming principles.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance Node.js and TypeScript backend services.
  • Build responsive React and TanStack web applications and Progressive Web Applications using Service Workers and Workbox.
  • Design and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, background processing, and distributed workflow orchestration.
  • Build data synchronization protocols and client-side and server-side persistence using IndexedDB/Dexie, SQLite, and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement idempotency, conflict resolution, reconciliation, data integrity, and consistency strategies.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS using IAM, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, and Cognito.
  • Write tested, maintainable code; conduct code reviews; mentor engineers; and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, design, security, and compliance teams on business and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Six to eight years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design and Hexagonal or Clean Architecture.
  • Strong Node.js and TypeScript backend development experience.
  • Proficiency with React and TanStack frontend development.
  • Experience building Progressive Web Apps and offline-first applications with Service Workers and Workbox.
  • Knowledge of REST and GraphQL API design, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, IndexedDB/Dexie, and SQLite, including idempotency and data consistency.
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, including EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, IAM, Cognito, and API Gateway.
  • Experience building or integrating machine learning models, vector databases, embeddings, or RAG pipelines.
