
Lead Software Engineer

- Lead the design and delivery of reusable, scalable, and secure enterprise API platforms.
- Evaluate large-scale API architectures against business objectives, technology standards, integration patterns, and technical and non-technical constraints.
- Design, build, test, and document APIs, microservices, and platform capabilities.
- Drive adoption of REST, event-driven, and gateway-based API technologies and platform strategies.
- Lead API initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and promote a platform-first engineering culture.
- Define and implement API development, lifecycle management, governance, and platform engineering standards.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, platform teams, external partners, developers, and operations teams to resolve integration challenges.
- Lead teams and partner with global stakeholders across multiple time zones while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
- At least five years of J2EE development experience.
- At least five years of microservices experience with REST APIs.
- At least five years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or technology.
- Preferred experience with workflow-driven architectures such as Kogito and business process automation technologies.
- Preferred experience with distributed streaming and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar frameworks.
- Experience with cloud and container technologies such as AKS, Azure, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools including Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, BigPanda, and Splunk.
- Experience with middleware messaging platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automation tools.
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Generative AI technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and agentic AI solutions.
- Knowledge of MongoDB, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum practices.
