Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software initiatives end to end, from refining requirements through delivery
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand problems and translate them into software solutions
- Develop and improve frontend and backend components of the FleetPulse platform
- Contribute to API design, platform development, observability, instrumentation, and monitoring
- Define what needs to be built and drive projects forward in ambiguous situations
- Lead code and design reviews and mentor engineers on best practices
- Elevate technical standards and contribute across the technology stack
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Python, or another backend language
- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with relational databases and schema design
- Experience with large distributed systems, including observability, instrumentation, and monitoring
- Full-stack web application development experience and comfort working across the stack
- Ability to work on-site in Chicago, Illinois
