Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and create implementation strategies.
- Architect, implement, update, and maintain custom backend solutions.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs and build custom connectors.
- Build reusable backend components and encapsulate recurring customer requirements into core product features.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and stability.
- Test and troubleshoot projects for software security and stability.
- Write jobs to move data between customer ecosystems and WebEngage.
- Manage AWS-based deployments, including scaling, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Write SQL scripts for data processing, transformation, and reporting.
- Provide technical guidance and implementation support to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, backend developers, customer success managers, product engineering teams, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in solutions engineering, software development, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Node.js for scripting and automation.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, case statements, and subqueries.
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of AWS services, deployments, scaling, and load monitoring.
- Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of Java for collaboration with backend engineering teams is an advantage.
- Experience with Jira, Postman, and Confluence.
- Preferred experience with cron jobs and Google Cloud Platform services.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL database selection and database design is a plus.
- Basic shell scripting knowledge and understanding of web servers and deployment frameworks are preferred.
- Strong consultative, written, verbal communication, and customer problem-solving skills.
