Base Salary
$188k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Co-design and implement the backend architecture of molab.
- Build systems that support high availability, low latency, stability, and fault tolerance.
- Rapidly spin up and shut down notebook kernels on demand.
- Improve low-latency communication between notebook frontends and backends.
- Design molab to run on CoreWeave’s specialized Kubernetes-based clusters.
- Integrate molab with CoreWeave object storage.
- Address fraud and abuse concerns.
- Optimize GPU utilization and resource allocation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong language-agnostic software engineering fundamentals.
- Expertise in computer systems, including parallel computing, threading, multiprocessing, concurrency, asynchronous programming, networking, and inter-process communication.
- Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, scheduling, networked filesystems, resource allocation, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred proficiency with Python and Python packaging.
- Preferred awareness or basic experience with the Python AI/ML stack.
- Preferred empathy for practitioners and researchers in AI, ML, data engineering, NLP, or quantitative fields.
- Preferred experience with GPU resource allocation and sharing.
- Applicants must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control requirements for access to controlled information.
