Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, BAPIs, BAdIs, user exits, CDS Views, AMDPs, RAP applications, and OData services.
- Build scalable ABAP OO and S/4HANA solutions using Virtual Data Models, CDS annotations, and SAP Fiori integration.
- Design and support SAP integrations using IDocs, RFCs, APIs, SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP BTP.
- Implement and optimize Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScript, and ALV reporting solutions.
- Analyze and improve application performance through ABAP tuning and SQL optimization.
- Support S/4HANA migration, simplification, and ECC-to-S/4 conversion initiatives.
- Collaborate with Basis and infrastructure teams on OpenStack-hosted SAP landscapes, including high availability, disaster recovery, system copies, and environment management.
- Participate in DevOps practices using gCTS, abapGit, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ATC, and automated testing.
- Conduct code reviews and unit testing while ensuring adherence to SAP development standards.
- Provide technical leadership for distributed systems, re-architecture initiatives, product development, and engineering collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- At least 7 years of S/4HANA development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with CDS Views, OData, RAP, integrations, and ABAP OO development.
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5, OpenStack or cloud infrastructure, SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration Suite, or similar middleware.
- Experience with SAP CAR, SAP CAR inbound and outbound enhancements, STL, DDF, and POS or other SAP system integrations.
- Minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant computer or software field plus 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of software engineering experience.
- Preferred qualification of a relevant master’s degree plus 2 years of software engineering experience.
