Base Salary
$111k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects that transform firewall management and network security.
- Build and maintain lab environments for prototyping and testing automation tools.
- Develop and deploy Python plugins and scripts to automate security workflows.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and quality assurance for security solutions.
- Collaborate on migration from traditional hosting to Kubernetes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once per month.
Requirements
- Strong Python development skills focused on clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Practical experience building automation tools or services, including CLIs, APIs, or event-driven jobs.
- Proficiency with Git-based workflows, automated testing, and collaborative code reviews.
- Hands-on familiarity with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, subnets, DNS, and HTTP, with Linux troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn security systems and APIs and demonstrate communication and project leadership skills.
