Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and coordinate concepts, applications, and interfaces with internal and external customers.
- Design and document software architectures for application software.
- Coordinate and implement applications within an agile team.
- Develop test strategies and perform application validation and testing.
- Document completed work according to space-industry requirements.
- Design, develop, and integrate AI solutions into space systems, including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, autonomous in-orbit decisions, and ML-based signal processing.
- Improve and automate development processes using AI tools, including CI/CD pipelines, code-quality analysis, ML-based test automation, and data-driven development.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science or a comparable field.
- Understanding of software architectures and application design.
- Knowledge of object-oriented software design, software implementation, requirements engineering, software development, and test strategies.
- Experience with communication and routing protocols such as CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, IPv6, or SR-MPLS is desirable.
- Initial experience with space-development projects is advantageous.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, communication skills, and teamwork.
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English.
