Base Salary
$91k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-tenant OpenStack infrastructure aligned with community standards.
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of OpenStack services using IaC tools.
- Extend and maintain integrations for core OpenStack services like Neutron, Octavia, and Cinder.
- Contribute to upstream OpenStack projects as needed.
- Implement continuous delivery pipelines for OpenStack updates.
- Develop automated monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
- Harden services for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Perform troubleshooting and performance analysis of OpenStack services.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with large-scale OpenStack cloud environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Strong knowledge of OpenStack components like Neutron, Octavia, and Cinder.
- Strong Linux systems engineering background with advanced scripting skills.
- Fluency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
- Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking and storage protocols.
- Experience building or maintaining multi-region or high-availability OpenStack clusters.
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration tools is a plus.
- Ability to write technical documentation and contribute to community wikis.
