Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide timely feedback.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automated and exploratory tests using standard NN tools.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and Cypress.
- Perform GUI, API, backend, regression, and pre-release testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects and monitor debugging outcomes.
- Investigate non-conforming software, define corrective actions, and help users implement solutions.
- Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements.
- Apply testing processes for new and existing products and stay current with testing tools and strategies.
Requirements
- Work experience in software quality assurance within the insurance and banking sector.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks with Playwright and Cypress.
- Familiarity with GUI and API testing for frontend web portals and backend systems.
- Understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python syntax, features, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Postman, Bruno, and REST/SOAP API concepts.
- Familiarity with SQL queries for database-level testing.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Performance and/or security testing experience is a plus.
