Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases derived from system requirements using HIL test benches, Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing.
- Perform system and integration testing across infotainment, telematics, cameras, sensors, and in-vehicle networking subsystems.
- Set up, configure, and maintain HIL test environments to validate system functionality and performance.
- Analyze test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to debug and resolve issues.
- Work with OEM partners to support integration of OEM functions and communicate test results, risks, and issues.
- Conduct hands-on validation testing on vehicles and prototypes against functional and safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain Python-based test automation scripts to improve test coverage, repeatability, and efficiency.
- Document test procedures, results, findings, issue tracking, and failure analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent major.
- At least 4 years of hands-on validation engineering experience in automotive, embedded systems, or electronics industries.
- Proficiency with HIL systems and experience validating automotive systems such as infotainment, ADAS, telematics, sensors, and networking.
- Experience with Python or another programming language for test automation and script development.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for identifying, root-causing, and resolving system-level and component-level failures.
- Ability to clearly document test procedures, results, progress, issue tracking, and test failure analysis.
- Preferred experience with low-power state and sleep-current characterization, functional safety, fault injection, ECC memory testing, windowed watchdog testing, and peripheral bring-up or verification.
- Preferred experience with automotive network architectures and protocols including CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and FlexRay.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Vector CANoe, dSPACE ControlDesk, prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and automotive test automation frameworks.
