Responsibilities

  • Build CI quality gates for backend and AI workflows to provide faster and more trustworthy pre-production signals.
  • Create reusable validation infrastructure for AI-powered backend features, including scenario-based evaluations, staging validation flows, generated test profiles, and higher-signal end-to-end checks.
  • Connect evaluation results, CI outcomes, runtime telemetry, and member-facing signals into a unified operational feedback loop.
  • Standardize shared LLM delivery practices through unified client patterns, trace capture, environment setup, and operational guardrails.
  • Partner with backend engineers, AI engineers, product managers, and platform teams to create reusable workflows that scale across the platform.
  • Own the production harness and developer-facing workflows for a Europe-based team.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience building and operating production backend platforms, developer infrastructure, CI/CD systems, or internal engineering tooling used by product teams.
  • Strong software engineering depth in a backend language such as Python, plus practical experience with cloud infrastructure, production debugging, and maintainable system design.
  • Experience designing trusted validation or quality systems, including CI gates, evaluation flows, test infrastructure, telemetry pipelines, or release automation.
  • A track record of improving delivery confidence for other engineers rather than only operating infrastructure manually.
  • Comfort supporting modern AI or LLM-backed systems in production through evaluations, tracing, rollout safety, review signals, or operational feedback loops.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for translating platform pain points into reusable systems.
  • Experience with offline and online evaluation systems, LLM tracing, or scenario-driven testing is preferred.
  • Experience improving CI/CD, developer workflows, or review pipelines across many repositories or services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability and telemetry tooling such as OpenTelemetry or Grafana is preferred.
  • Background in health technology, wearables, or other quality-sensitive domains is preferred.
