Base Salary
$130k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Support development and deployment of on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
- Automate deployment processes and ensure service reliability and scalability.
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve infrastructure processes and tools for high availability and performance.
- Stay current with technologies and industry trends and identify infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- A current Secret U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 9 years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or 13 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting knowledge is required.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet is required.
- Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda is required.
- Experience with application and operating system deployment, scaling, and management is required.
- Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go is required.
- Familiarity with Git and other development tools is required.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto is preferred.
- Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, and Terraform is preferred.
- The candidate must be able to work hybrid in Columbia, Maryland, travel up to 25% to customer sites in Hawaii, and potentially participate in on-call work.
