Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure, including Elastic Kubernetes Service.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes across development and production environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform, Ansible, and other infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based systems for availability and performance.
- Integrate and improve CI/CD pipelines and release cycles using Git, Flux, Jenkins, and related tools.
- Support portable edge-computing infrastructure in on-premise environments.
- Diagnose system issues across networking, containers, cloud services, and the broader technology stack.
- Participate in Agile development and continuous process-improvement activities.
- Stay current with DevOps technologies, container orchestration, and cloud capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Mid-level candidates require 3–8 years of relevant experience; senior-level candidates require 9–13 years; SME-level candidates require 14 or more years.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
- Scripting or programming ability in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other infrastructure-as-code or configuration-management tools.
- Familiarity with Git, Flux, JIRA, Confluence, and other development and deployment tools.
- Ability to work in Agile environments.
- Must obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must be available to work on-site four to five days per week and remain flexible for customer needs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance; TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is also accepted.
- Desired experience includes Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
- Some on-call work may be required.
