Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise monitoring solutions while supporting migration from MaasImpact to Zabbix and future monitoring platforms.
- Design and maintain Zabbix templates for hardware server certificate status, application process health, and other supported applications.
- Assist system administrator and network engineer teams with Zabbix dashboard creation, refinement, and optimization.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Zabbix agents across diverse systems and environments.
- Write or review Python, Java, C#, or similar scripts for monitoring automation, data collection, and system integration.
- Perform Linux user-level tasks supporting monitoring development, agent deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Manage work through a JIRA ticket queue, attend scheduled meetings, and collaborate with cross-contract teammates.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline plus 14 years of system engineering experience, or an associate degree or high school diploma/GED plus 18 years of general system engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience developing Zabbix templates, dashboards, and monitoring logic.
- Ability to write or troubleshoot scripts in Python, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Experience navigating Linux environments for development and troubleshooting.
- An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph is required.
- Experience configuring or creating other monitoring tools is preferred.
