Senior/Lead Backend Software Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build and ship secure, optimized, production-grade backend software using AI-supported engineering workflows.
- Design and orchestrate complex systems in which AI agents integrate with human workflows.
- Develop scalable components and algorithms for a multi-tenant SaaS cloud platform serving millions of users.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing.
- Design distributed, event-driven systems with queues, locks, scheduling, and workload distribution.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Make technical decisions focused on performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance depending on seniority level.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering development experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with languages such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, and C++.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
- Understanding of queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to develop reliable system context for AI outputs.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with generative AI, RAG systems, agentic workflows, large language models, big data or ML, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Preferred experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing multinational organization.
