Responsibilities
- Define architecture, technical direction, best practices, and technology decisions for complex engineering problems.
- Lead design reviews, mentor engineering peers, and drive technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Architect and evolve the core platform and infrastructure, with emphasis on resilience, component communication, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and enhance Java/Spring Boot microservices supporting the Workload Automation Platform.
- Drive architecture, security, compliance, observability, and modernization across the platform.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering teams to align work and deliver products end to end.
- Research and apply AI/ML concepts to improve Managed File Transfer and Workload Automation capabilities.
- Architect, deploy, and manage complex cloud solutions and containerized platform environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of professional software engineering experience focused significantly on high-scale products and platforms.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST API, object-oriented programming, design pattern, and software architecture skills.
- Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
- Expertise building distributed SaaS systems, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical or conceptual experience applying them to engineering problems.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and automated platform management.
- Mastery of Kubernetes container orchestration, specifically Amazon EKS, including cluster operations and inter-component communication.
- In-depth knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and secure communication protocols.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineering peers, and collaborate effectively.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban development methodologies.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
